About STANLEY Security’s TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program

STANLEY Security’s TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program is a national contest established by the organization in 2013 to help schools enhance security on their campuses. The program offers U.S. colleges and universities the opportunity to rally students, faculty and campus communities to win STANLEY Security installed products and services through a share of a $600,000 grant.

School Break-in Averted by New Security Measures Provided Through STANLEY Security Grant Program

School Break-in Averted by New Security Measures Provided Through STANLEY Security Grant Program

Indianapolis, IN – March 6, 2015 – Less than four months after the installation of a new security system, the Montessori School of Dayton in Kettering, OH credits the products and services provided by STANLEY Security with preventing a break-in attempt at the school during the winter break. The Montessori School of Dayton was a grant winner in the inaugural STANLEY Security TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program, and received extensive new security measures for their school, valued at the $100,000 grant amount.

On the evening of the break-in in late December, video surveillance from the Montessori School of Dayton showed four suspects approaching the building, with two males climbing onto the roof and attempting to gain entry by breaking through a skylight. This triggered an alarm, monitored by Sonitrol of SW Ohio, and police were immediately dispatched to the scene. The video surveillance system and verified audio alarm monitoring services were part of the suite of services implemented at the school by STANLEY Security in 2014, through the grant program.

In the planning and execution of the security installation completed for the Montessori School of Dayton, STANLEY Security concentrated on providing a comprehensive, total solution that would serve to bring modern security solutions to the decades-old building. As a runner-up in the grant program, STANLEY assumed the cost of $100,000 of the security enhancements, including a Sonitrol audio-impact intrusion alarm, a managed access control system, a comprehensive video surveillance and video management solution with updated cameras to provide interior and exterior coverage, an integrated intercom system, intruder function locksets for classrooms so teachers can lock classroom doors from the inside, and fire system monitoring.

“We could not be more grateful for the sense of protection and well-being that STANLEY Security’s installation of products and services has provided us,” said Tim Meixner, President of Montessori School of Dayton. “STANLEY has allowed our entire community to feel a strong peace-of-mind, and the installation has already shown immeasurable value in protecting our facility and students.”

“Maintaining the integrity and safety of educational facilities and students throughout the nation is a top priority for STANLEY,” said Paul Hevesy, Vice President, Sales for STANLEY Security. “We are incredibly proud of the comprehensive security solutions we were able to provide the Montessori School of Dayton through the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program.”

Established in 2013, STANLEY Security’s K-12 installment of its TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program offered all K-12 institutions in the continental U.S. the opportunity to enhance their school’s security systems through a share of a $500,000 grant. Throughout the grant program, the Montessori School of Dayton engaged the resources of its alumni networks and worldwide connections offered through the Montessori educational community to secure $100,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services, which were fully implemented in August 2014. This year, STANLEY Security focused it’s TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program on colleges and universities, providing a share of $600,000 to six grant recipients to be announced during the month of March.

By providing real-time visibility and aggregating all system data onto a single online interface, users can efficiently view and manage system activity, including control over open/close and arm/disarm activity, detailed alarm incident reports, unscheduled activity, oversee fire inspections, test operations and more. The highly intuitive dashboard allows users to save time and drive a return on investment, while simultaneously plan effective security strategies to improve employee and customer safety and prevent loss of assets – all from one online platform.

Now equipped with a strong backend infrastructure and accessible frontend delivery, eServices 2.0 drives more effective security management processes by providing customers with substantially upgraded features, services and capabilities – all based on direct customer feedback:

  • Single sign-on for all security data: Real-time visibility on all security systems, including intrusion, video, access and fire.
  • Identify trends and perform predictive analytics: Proactively plan security strategies with a feature-rich, personalized dashboard.
  • Complete intelligence on-the-go: Receive complete reports and full functionality on any device - desktop, laptop, phone or tablet. Not limited to a set of reports or reduced feature set like many competitive products.
  • Save time with self-service: Schedule service requests and manage passcards, action plans, call lists, open/close schedules and more – all online.
  • Intuitive user interface: Easy navigation that minimizes clicks, automatic form complete functionality and more.
  • Multi- Lingual: Interact with eServices 2.0 in English, French or Spanish.
  • Customized reporting: Create custom groups/criteria to filter and report on the data points that matter for users’ businesses.
  • Built on customer feedback: Request new eServices features with online tracking and direct link to the STANLEY development team.

One of the most robust features new to eServices 2.0 is metadata tagging. Based on a customer’s specific business criteria, with metadata tagging, he or she can label or ‘tag’ individual locations or sites with names that are meaningful to the customer and then filter and report based on those labels. For instance, if it is important to customers to be able to group and report on sites by location type, such as retail store fronts, business offices and warehouses, they can do that and more. Instead of being restricted by location and site terminology used by their security provider, STANLEY provides customers the ability to report in a customized way that matches their unique business needs.

“eServices is and always has been a tool for our customers, influenced by our customers. This was accomplished in 2.0 through the myriad of new features, such as metadata tagging. But we wanted to further heighten that connection in this new platform, beyond the more tangible feature sets. We did this by empowering trusted security professionals, our customers, with the ability to fully engage in the development of this tool using our integrated Feature Request & Customer Feedback Portal,” stated Tarnoff.

With the integrated Feature Request & Customer Feedback Portal, customers have a direct link to the eServices 2.0 development team to submit anything from system bugs and functional changes to suggestions to make their security operations more productive. Once they submit their request, they have total transparency with the ability to see the status of the request, when the team starts development and when the feature will be completed. They can even engage in a two-way dialogue with the eServices developers with the ability to post comments throughout the process. Customers also can view the full history and tracking of all submitted requests beyond their own requests, for further transparency.

“Our customers play an integral role in evolving this agile platform daily – truly making a difference not only with the eServices 2.0 product, but as a result, in their own security operations and businesses,” continued Tarnoff. “The newly enhanced eServices 2.0 platform truly embodies the spirit of full transparency and the comprehensive business partnership we share with our customers. We sincerely thank our customers for this partnership.”

a leading global Grant 01manufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions for a wide range of industries, announces nominations are now open to higher education institutions for this year’s TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program. In its second year, the STANLEY Security TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program will provide the opportunity to enhance safety and security in the nation’s approximately 4,500 higher education institutions by awarding winning schools a share of a substantial grant of STANLEY Security installed products and services. Any higher education institution – both public and private, from community colleges to large-scale campus environments across the U.S. – is eligible to participate.

“We’re proud to be able to continue our TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program this year by focusing on our nation’s higher education institutions,” said Kyle Gordon, Director of Higher Education Market Solutions – North America for STANLEY Security.

“At STANLEY Security, our passion and commitment to campus safety is unparalleled in this industry. As a partner to over 2,500 colleges and universities across the U.S., we value the opportunity to learn from these institutions about how we can assist them in offering safer and more secure educational campus environments so students, faculty and staff can thrive. The TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program is just another demonstration of STANLEY’s long-standing dedication to the present and future of our nation’s colleges and universities.”

STANLEY Security announced the second installment of the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program last week at the 2014 ASIS International 60th Annual Seminar & Exhibits, the premier security industry trade show, hosted September 29-October 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. Initially set at $500,000, STANLEY Security pledged to raise the value of the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS grant by $50 for every visitor to the company’s booth, in lieu of giving away promotional items. By the end of the three-day convention, STANLEY had raised the value of the grant by $100,000, totaling the grant prize to $600,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services.

“We’re thrilled by the overwhelming positive response we received thus far for the higher education installment of the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program,” Gordon said. “The level of support for this initiative extends well beyond security professionals and our peers within the industry; the endeavor to establish safe campus environments is one that resonates with every individual in this country. STANLEY Security is committed to harnessing that support to cultivate a culture of safety and peace of mind for students, faculty and community members residing on every campus.”

Offerings provided to grant winners include consultative security services, access to STANLEY Security’s premier Software Solutions Group (SSG) and seminars for school officials on security threat assessment and advanced Clery Act training offered by STANLEY Security partner and campus security experts, D. Stafford & Associates. Turn-key installations available to winners can be any STANLEY Security product or solution, including access control solutions, video surveillance systems, fire systems, intrusion systems, mechanical and electro-mechanical door hardware, mass notification systems and other security technologies.

Beginning now through November 18, select administrators at any U.S. higher education institution – including college or university Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors, Deans, Chiefs of Police, Security Directors or Directors of Public Safety – can nominate their campus for the grant program online by visiting www.stanleysaferschools.com.

Once nominations have been finalized, students, faculty, administrators, parents, alumni, and members of the campus community can then vote for their school daily via the voting website, SMS text messaging or Twitter, starting January 19 and running through February 13, 2015. Colleges and universities with the first and second-most votes across three tiers of campus size – under 8,000 students, between 8,000-19,999 students and over 20,000 students – will be selected as grant winners, for a total of six winners. Grant recipients will be announced on March 3, 2015.

STANLEY SECURITY LAUNCHES UPDATED NATIONAL ACCOUNT PERFORMANCE SCORECARD AT NRF

UPDATED NATIONAL ACCOUNT Performance ScorecardPERFORMANCE SCORECARD LAUNCHED AT NRF

First in Industry to Provide Total Transparency into Performance for Customers; Performance Scorecard Shows Activity for All Retail Locations/Stores Nationwide

Naperville, IL – June 11, 2014 – STANLEY Security, a leading provider of integrated security solutions for retail, commercial, and industrial organizations globally, launches an updated version of its National Account Performance Scorecard this week, June 11-12, at the 2014 NRF Loss Prevention Conference & Expo in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

STANLEY’s National Account Performance Scorecard, first introduced in 2005, is issued to every STANLEY Security National Account customer each quarter, and provides quantifiable data on how STANLEY is performing on customers’ accounts throughout the year. This includes security data across all the customer’s locations and benchmarking metrics that rate the business against similar companies, providing actionable business insights for the future of the customer’s security program.

Performance Scorecard Monitoring
The National Account Performance Scorecard evaluates STANLEY’s performance on
customer accounts in The Five Customer Touchpoints: Account Management, Installation, Service, Monitoring, and Billing. Knowing that providing total transparency with customers builds stronger partnerships, in-person Quarterly Business Review meetings are held with each customer to access STANLEY’S performance, as well as provide valuable insight into how a customer’s security program is operating across all their locations. By reviewing this data every 90 days, STANLEY Security has put a system in place, whereby open-ended, ongoing dialogue can be provided to evaluate a customer’s security program and help

to drive efficiencies and accomplish security and business objectives.

“The STANLEY National Account Performance Scorecard is an offering that truly sets STANLEY apart,” said Marty Guay, Vice President of STANLEY Security. “We were the first in the industry to provide our customer base with a consistent measurement of our performance and success. By focusing on self-evaluation, and allowing customers to define our strengths and where we can improve, there is a direct line of communication between the STANLEY team and our customers. Benchmarking ourselves allows for full transparency with our customers and the opportunity to grow in how we serve and support them.”

In addition to showing how STANLEY is performing on customers’ accounts, the National Account Performance Scorecard provides high level security data, delivering total visibility into store locations nationwide, communicating the insights and tools needed to drive excellence within a customer’s security program. For example, for those retail customers who have large global footprints, the “High Activity Report” provides actionable data for the top ten locations or stores that have the greatest number of incidents in the prior quarter. This provides retailers and other businesses full transparency on key alarm activity so they can quickly identify issues and address them immediately. To make this document invaluable to customers, STANLEY Security continually improves on the data it provides and adds new metrics each quarter based on customer feedback and needs. Additionally, customers can access STANLEY’s eServices 2.0 online management portal to retrieve even more detailed reports on how their locations are

Performance Scorecard Survey
The Performance Scorecard also includes a Customer Satisfaction Survey, allowing customers the opportunity to provide STANLEY with valuable feedback on its level of service throughout all areas of the partnership. As STANLEY continually endeavors to be the preferred security partner, STANLEY’s customer service and leadership team reviews all survey feedback to make any adjustments and improvements as required by the customer.

With the move toward electronic efficiency, convenience, and the desire to streamline business operations, customers appreciate the option to save time and receive an electronic PDF version of STANLEY’s Performance Scorecard that fits into their schedule, either prior to their Quarterly Business Meeting, or if having an in-person meeting is not feasible during a particular quarter. Being mobile and accessible means having immediate access to this tool, so they can review it off-hours or while traveling. More importantly, the electronic version allows other departments including IT, facilities, store operations and loss prevention teams to have equal access to the report and provide feedback to STANLEY.

“We believe true partnership with our customers starts with an open book approach,” stated Pat Mulhern, Vice President- Commercial and Retail Sales of STANLEY Security. “We value our relationships with our retail customers and look forward to discussing how we can better serve them. The Quarterly Business Review meeting gives us an opportunity to address ways to improve and foster a true business partnership. Plus, in its new electronic format, the National Account Performance Scorecard is more portable and accessible for retailers on the go. Available for viewing on any tablet or mobile device, our retail customers can easily have insight into their security reports while traveling to stores across the country.”

The revised Performance Scorecard also reflects STANLEY’s new brand and includes a Performance Scorecard Newsnews page to inform customers about what’s going on at STANLEY each quarter, cultivating a true partnership and continuous, open communication with customers and their businesses. In addition, as a technology partner with its customers, STANLEY provides a security product and service feature in every issue of the Performance Scorecard.

“In talking with our retail customers, we have learned that they rely on STANLEY as an expert to help educate them on new, cutting-edge technologies they could implement to improve their security programs,” stated Mulhern. “Highlighting innovative products and services in the Performance Scorecard is one way we can ensure we’re providing this valuable information to our customers on a quarterly basis.”
