STANLEY Security Debuts New Vertical & Centralized Operations Team, Network Operations Center at NRF PROTECT 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (June 22, 2015) – STANLEY Security, a leading global retail-yellowmanufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions for a wide range of industries, announces the establishment of its new Vertical & Centralized Operations (VOPS) team and supporting Network Operations Center at the 2015 NRF PROTECT Loss Prevention Conference & Expo this week, June 23-25 in Long Beach, CA. The combination of these entities is dedicated to providing an unparalleled installation and service experience for multi-location retailers. By bringing project management and execution to the highest standard of effectiveness and efficiency, the VOPS team provides tangible ROI and time-saving benefits to STANLEY’s vast network of retail customers.

Vertical & Centralized Operations Team

As part of the broader vertical market solutions division launched earlier this year, the VOPS team enables STANLEY Security to better serve its customers by offering optimized, highly intuitive and integrated security solutions to its retail focused end-users. Along with STANLEY’s newly developed retail vertical market group, the VOPS team delivers superior service delivered through over 75 branch locations throughout North America and strengthened by a group of highly qualified professionals offering broad customer support.

The expanded field services team focuses on bolstering design, application, installation and service processes enabling enhanced productivity through comprehensive project management, as well as sales and operations connectivity that more seamlessly integrates differentiated, first-class technologies, solutions and services in the dynamic retail sector. Bruce Riesterer has been appointed Vice President, Vertical & Centralized Operations for STANLEY Security to lead the credentialed team to directly respond to the needs of retailers nationwide.

“STANLEY Security deploys a comprehensive and collaborative approach to identifying customers’ needs in order to customize the best solution for each customer and maximize their return on investment. The Vertical & Centralized Operations team is an excellent opportunity for us to better partner with our customers by providing the vital support they need at all stages of their security projects,” said Jonathan Rosman, President, STANLEY Security Retail. “Bruce and his dedicated team are an exciting addition to STANLEY’s operations and will provide exceptional support to our highly valued retail customer base.”

The VOPS team provides operations support and scalable resources that drive results for customers and facilitate high quality outcomes through the deployment of highly trained and certified Application Engineers, Design Engineers, National Account Program Managers, Project Managers and Partner Development associates. These experts will be focused on driving consistency, seamless integration and innovative implementation of large-scale projects in retailers’ locations.

“The establishment and expansion of the VOPS team demonstrates STANLEY’s commitment to investing in field operations through resources, processes and systems to better partner and serve our customers. We are dedicated to proactively anticipating our customers’ needs by developing strategies that not only address current and future security requirements, but more importantly are focused on improving their overall operations and increasing their ROI,” Rosman said.

Network Operations Center

In addition to cultivating supportive partnerships between customers and the dedicated members of the Vertical & Centralized Operations team, STANLEY’s world-class Network Operations Center (NOC) is designed to service retail end-users with numerous capabilities in order to bolster operational efficiencies and monitoring capabilities, including:

  • Ability to remotely commission and tune Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) and IP Video systems upon installation
  • Ability to remotely monitor and assess health of installed EAS and IP Video systems in real-time
  • Ability to remotely diagnose and adjust EAS and IP Video systems in real-time
  • Provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year support
  • Fully redundant power/data/telecommunications support

As a key service offering for retail customers, the NOC also offers support for off-hours installations and operational projects. The NOC expands the end-user’s service and support team as the first point of escalation for STANLEY technicians while on-site, able to assist with remote installations to reduce labor costs for the customer. The NOC can monitor the health of systems remotely and in real-time, notifying the customer if there is an issue before they even realize it – minimizing down-time and ultimately loss. Invaluable troubleshooting, system tuning and maintenance can also all be performed remotely at the NOC to promote immediate, cost-effective relief should system maintenance be required.

“As retailers continue to look for more ways to maximize their ROI, our remote service and diagnostic capabilities help them achieve those goals. It is invaluable to a customer for STANLEY to not only proactively recognize an issue with a given system, but also be able to remotely fix it – saving them the time and cost of having a physical service call. Our clients depend on our ability to provide them solutions that make their operations more efficient and effective,” said Bruce Riesterer.

STANLEY Security Awarded Extensive Contract with Arizona State University

STANLEY Security Awarded Extensive Contract with Arizona State University

New Contract Offers Security Services, Maintenance, Repair and Training to All ASU Campuses

Indianapolis, IN – (April 21, 2015) – STANLEY Security, a leading global education-yellow-nwmanufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions for a wide range of industries, has been awarded an extensive contract with Arizona State University (ASU) – a public, flagship research university located on multiple campuses across the state of Arizona and throughout the U.S. Through the agreement, STANLEY will provide installation of security systems and accompanied support services, alarm monitoring, repair and preventive life cycle maintenance of integrated security platforms at all campus buildings and entities owned and occupied by ASU.

The contract encompasses each of ASU’s primary campuses in the state of Arizona, including the Tempe campus, the Downtown and West campuses in Phoenix, the Polytechnic campus in Mesa, the ASU Colleges in Lake Havasu City, the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, the SkySong Innovation Center in Scottsdale and the ASU Research Park in Tempe. The contract will also service ASU’s satellite campuses in Washington, D.C. and Santa Monica, CA.

With over 4,000 access control proximity readers, 1,500 video cameras and 200 duress systems to be managed and controlled across ASU’s campuses through the university’s Integrated Systems for ASU Access Control (ISAAC), STANLEY’s foremost responsibility as part of the contract will be to maintain a stable, reliable security environment that streamlines and ensures proper function of all components of ISAAC, the electronic control standard for all university departments and colleges. ISAAC is ASU’s prevailing, comprehensive security system, crucial in providing a safe environment for ASU students, staff and visitors, while still allowing for independence on campus. The system includes keyless and remote access control, video recording and forensic intelligence, panic alarm systems, intrusion detection and a fully engaged team to respond to any issues or repairs.

In addition to augmenting the services of ISAAC, STANLEY Security will engage in 24/7 alarm monitoring for the campuses – a new service to ASU – and STANLEY’s Software Solutions Group (SSG) will be charged with maintaining the campuses’ robust software environment, residing on multiple servers. With over 2 million transactions occurring across various security platforms on a daily basis, ASU awarded STANLEY Security the contract with the expectation that the organization’s numerous resources could be aptly applied to maintain a goal of 95%-99% function reliability for access control, surveillance and other solutions on campus at all times. In order to achieve this, STANLEY Security will supply ASU’s entities with an embedded Lenel Certified technical engineer to create a comprehensive system design document that can be incorporated into a developed standard for ASU’s security presence.        “ASU has over 76,000 students and more than 4,000 faculty and staff across our campuses whose protection is of the utmost priority,” said Laura Ploughe, Director, Business Applications and Fiscal Control for Arizona State University. “We’re looking forward to embarking on this relationship with STANLEY Security – a good, fiscally sound company with global leverage – that makes us confident in our unified ability to maintain a stable, compliant security environment that is scalable and performs seamlessly.

“With STANLEY, we believe we’ve found the best of the breed. STANLEY is a globally minded company that has proven to be driven and focused within the higher education security space, and we hope to build a mutually beneficial partnership with the existing knowledge that both STANLEY and ASU can provide to each other, our peers and other thought leaders within higher education. This more than just a contract with an integrator; this is the new partnership standard,” Ploughe said.

“We view this as the start of a highly collaborative, long-term partnership with Arizona State University,” said Kyle Gordon, Director, Higher Education – North America for STANLEY Security. “STANLEY’s commitment as a partner extends beyond technological innovations; through thought leadership and constant dialogue, we proactively identify potential needs to promptly provide the highest level of service for our clients. We’re highly invested in the higher education market, and we’re honored to be able to offer our dedicated resources to ASU to provide valuable security services to every campus founded by this premier university.”

In addition to bolstering the safety and security of ASU students, faculty and assets on campus, this award, due to the Arizona Board of Regents solicitation process, allows for other entities in the state of Arizona to participate in the same contract.

Essentially, any entities, sister institutions, community colleges or municipalities in the state of Arizona can be granted access to the state contract that has been publically bid on and awarded to STANLEY Security. STANLEY and ASU believe this greatly extends the value of the contract, offering widespread use of the crucial services provided by STANLEY through the agreement and fostering community network and engagement opportunities

School Break-in Averted by New Security Measures Provided Through STANLEY Security Grant Program

School Break-in Averted by New Security Measures Provided Through STANLEY Security Grant Program

Indianapolis, IN – March 6, 2015 – Less than four months after the installation of a new security system, the Montessori School of Dayton in Kettering, OH credits the products and services provided by STANLEY Security with preventing a break-in attempt at the school during the winter break. The Montessori School of Dayton was a grant winner in the inaugural STANLEY Security TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program, and received extensive new security measures for their school, valued at the $100,000 grant amount.

On the evening of the break-in in late December, video surveillance from the Montessori School of Dayton showed four suspects approaching the building, with two males climbing onto the roof and attempting to gain entry by breaking through a skylight. This triggered an alarm, monitored by Sonitrol of SW Ohio, and police were immediately dispatched to the scene. The video surveillance system and verified audio alarm monitoring services were part of the suite of services implemented at the school by STANLEY Security in 2014, through the grant program.

In the planning and execution of the security installation completed for the Montessori School of Dayton, STANLEY Security concentrated on providing a comprehensive, total solution that would serve to bring modern security solutions to the decades-old building. As a runner-up in the grant program, STANLEY assumed the cost of $100,000 of the security enhancements, including a Sonitrol audio-impact intrusion alarm, a managed access control system, a comprehensive video surveillance and video management solution with updated cameras to provide interior and exterior coverage, an integrated intercom system, intruder function locksets for classrooms so teachers can lock classroom doors from the inside, and fire system monitoring.

“We could not be more grateful for the sense of protection and well-being that STANLEY Security’s installation of products and services has provided us,” said Tim Meixner, President of Montessori School of Dayton. “STANLEY has allowed our entire community to feel a strong peace-of-mind, and the installation has already shown immeasurable value in protecting our facility and students.”

“Maintaining the integrity and safety of educational facilities and students throughout the nation is a top priority for STANLEY,” said Paul Hevesy, Vice President, Sales for STANLEY Security. “We are incredibly proud of the comprehensive security solutions we were able to provide the Montessori School of Dayton through the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program.”

Established in 2013, STANLEY Security’s K-12 installment of its TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program offered all K-12 institutions in the continental U.S. the opportunity to enhance their school’s security systems through a share of a $500,000 grant. Throughout the grant program, the Montessori School of Dayton engaged the resources of its alumni networks and worldwide connections offered through the Montessori educational community to secure $100,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services, which were fully implemented in August 2014. This year, STANLEY Security focused it’s TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program on colleges and universities, providing a share of $600,000 to six grant recipients to be announced during the month of March.

For years, STANLEY has been a forerunner in the market of enhancing safety and security in higher education facilities, colleges and universities throughout the country. Stafford & Associates will also provide compliance training to STANLEY’s higher education experts in an effort to better support STANLEY’s 2,500 college and university partners nationwide.

Also in alignment with the new agreement, STANLEY will sponsor a ten-part webinar series on the intricacies of the Clery Act for registered participants, the first of which was held on Feb. 12. STANLEY Security Empowers Customers with eServices 2.0

STANLEY Security Empowers Customers with eServices 2.0

STANLEY Security Officially Launches New eServices 2.0 Security Insight & Business Intelligence Platform with Integrated Feature & Request Customer Feedback Portal.

Indianapolis, IN – (December 16, 2014) – STANLEY Security, a leading global provider of advanced integrated security solutions, announces the official launch of its significantly augmented eServices 2.0 platform, now commercially available to STANLEY Security customers. eServices 2.0 was initially released in beta to select STANLEY Security customers earlier this year, and has been continually enhanced based on direct customer feedback to bring the platform to its current state. STANLEY Security responded to over 1,000 logged development requests during the six-month beta period, and announces its integrated Feature Request Customer & Feedback Portal establishing a continual focus on direct customer involvement.

“We were the first to create an online management tool for our customers back in 1999 based on a request from one of our customers with a need for more information. Even then, we had a finger on the pulse of the industry as a whole – but just as importantly, we were in tune with the needs of our customers and were open to their feedback, ideas and suggestions. Over the past 15 years, eServices has advanced based on the highly valuable customer response,” said Beth Tarnoff, Director of Marketing for STANLEY Convergent Security Solutions. “We took this as an opportunity to showcase eServices 2.0 as an ever-evolving tool, focusing on the shifting needs of our customers as they progress in stride with an industry that’s continually advancing.”

STANLEY Security’s eServices 2.0 provides real-time transparency on customers’ security systems, including intrusion, video surveillance, access control, fire detection and integration – offering full, mobile visibility and business insight. eServices 2.0 is an essential tool for customers to streamline security and business processes, offering comprehensive insight to aptly carry out security investigations and respond to issues before they could negatively affect operations at one or any number of locations. By providing real-time visibility and aggregating all system data onto a single online interface, users can efficiently view and manage system activity, including control over open/close and arm/disarm activity, detailed alarm incident reports, unscheduled activity, oversee fire inspections, test operations and more. The highly intuitive dashboard allows users to save time and drive a return on investment, while simultaneously plan effective security strategies to improve employee and customer safety and prevent loss of assets – all from one online platform.

Now equipped with a strong backend infrastructure and accessible frontend delivery, eServices 2.0 drives more effective security management processes by providing customers with substantially upgraded features, services and capabilities – all based on direct customer feedback:

  • Single sign-on for all security data: Real-time visibility on all security systems, including intrusion, video, access and fire.
  • Identify trends and perform predictive analytics: Proactively plan security strategies with a feature-rich, personalized dashboard.
  • Complete intelligence on-the-go: Receive complete reports and full functionality on any device - desktop, laptop, phone or tablet. Not limited to a set of reports or reduced feature set like many competitive products.
  • Save time with self-service: Schedule service requests and manage passcards, action plans, call lists, open/close schedules and more – all online.
  • Intuitive user interface: Easy navigation that minimizes clicks, automatic form complete functionality and more.
  • Multi- Lingual: Interact with eServices 2.0 in English, French or Spanish.
  • Customized reporting: Create custom groups/criteria to filter and report on the data points that matter for users’ businesses.
  • Built on customer feedback: Request new eServices features with online tracking and direct link to the STANLEY development team.

One of the most robust features new to eServices 2.0 is metadata tagging. Based on a customer’s specific business criteria, with metadata tagging, he or she can label or ‘tag’ individual locations or sites with names that are meaningful to the customer and then filter and report based on those labels. For instance, if it is important to customers to be able to group and report on sites by location type, such as retail store fronts, business offices and warehouses, they can do that and more. Instead of being restricted by location and site terminology used by their security provider, STANLEY provides customers the ability to report in a customized way that matches their unique business needs.

“eServices is and always has been a tool for our customers, influenced by our customers. This was accomplished in 2.0 through the myriad of new features, such as metadata tagging. But we wanted to further heighten that connection in this new platform, beyond the more tangible feature sets. We did this by empowering trusted security professionals, our customers, with the ability to fully engage in the development of this tool using our integrated Feature Request & Customer Feedback Portal,” stated Tarnoff.

With the integrated Feature Request & Customer Feedback Portal, customers have a direct link to the eServices 2.0 development team to submit anything from system bugs and functional changes to suggestions to make their security operations more productive. Once they submit their request, they have total transparency with the ability to see the status of the request, when the team starts development and when the feature will be completed. They can even engage in a two-way dialogue with the eServices developers with the ability to post comments throughout the process. Customers also can view the full history and tracking of all submitted requests beyond their own requests, for further transparency.

“Our customers play an integral role in evolving this agile platform daily – truly making a difference not only with the eServices 2.0 product, but as a result, in their own security operations and businesses,” continued Tarnoff. “The newly enhanced eServices 2.0 platform truly embodies the spirit of full transparency and the comprehensive business partnership we share with our customers. We sincerely thank our customers for this partnership.”
